Apologizes for not posting for the last couple of weeks, with all the summer festivities happening around Milwaukee (i.e. PrideFest, Summerfest, etc) I’ve not found the time to post anything. But it gives me great pleasure to post this:

Wisconsin’s public smoking ban went into effect today. Non-smokers have waited for this day for quite some time. Feel free to breath naturally now…

Apple Lends Helping Hand to BP

Apple unveiled the fourth generation of iPhones this week and millions of devout Apple followers (I mean, consumers) now feel somewhat disillusioned with their “old” and “out of date” iPhones. The ensuing reaction will no doubt cause people to purchase the newest model, leaving thousands if not more third generation iPhones left without a purpose. May I suggest using them to plug the hole in the Gulf of Mexico.

From Wisconsin AP News:

MILWAUKEE (AP) ― Both Republican candidates in Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate race want to see an environmentally sensitive region of Alaska land opened up to oil drilling, a solution they say would help avoid such catastrophes as the BP oil spill fouling the Gulf of Mexico.

Sen. Russ Feingold, the Democratic incumbent, disagreed, saying the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is too sensitive to withstand large-scale drilling.

With everything happening in the Gulf of Mexico right now, the last thing I’d expect is more talk of oil drilling. It’s clear that our energy policy, which is virtually nonexistent in America, needs to be changed because to continue drilling for more oil puts our environment in danger and only temporarily stalls our efforts to become more sustainable. I agree with Russ Feingold’s position on drilling in ANWAR and I believe most of Wisconsin does too.

The best damn place to purchase all your Wisconsin cheese necessities. Swiss cheese, string cheese, cheese curds, sharp cheddar cheese, you name it they’re bound to have it.
